Top o' the New Year, to ya!

Farewell 2002. New Years was a blast, played a charades on steroids type game with friends and strangers, one of whom was highly competitive. Actually, the evening started with a sushi feast and good company. No, wait! New Year's eve day started when I discovered my mark for the Java network programming course I took: 97% - Woo-Who!!!! A most auspicious way to transition years. Welcome 2003.

It was a very abbreviated Christmas with the family. Around 10:30/11:00am I looked at the weather and road reports and decided, "Time to go." The news the following day validated the decision. Traffic pandemonium on the Coquihalla and sections of Highway 1. I miss the hot tub. I mist trading flaming sheep strikes and donkey drops with my niece and nephew playing World Worm Party. And I'm disappointed my sister and I didn't make it out to a cafe for our traditional coffee. Guess I'll just have to go back. Silly people keep unlocking the door and letting me in.

I may well have stuck my foot in it, this term. Emboldened by the great mark and realizing that I'm about just about half way to a Java Certificate at BCIT, I decided to take two courses this term. Actually, I'm also a little inspired by my sister, who has been a half to three quarter course load while raising kids and looking after a house. Time to be a little less of a slug!
