The answer is in. The meta-physical day ends with bed, and sleep, regardless of the day/night cycle. Thursday afternoon was much better than Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

The temperature didn't get hot enough to keep me awake and Thursday night at work was much calmer in spite of the "situation" still in progress. I even had some fun joking with a UK customer while we tried to figure out why her spam filter was unhappy.
