Seen on a big truck

There's road construction on a major Highway by my place. It happens to be on a big hill. The "slow truck lane" is closed leaving only two lanes for the traffic. Most tractor/trailer rigs are pretty pookey going up the hill so there's typically a mini-bottleneck. Needless to say, we motorists are an oh so very patient lot. As I was doing my best to zoom past a dump truck with tandem trailer I saw scralled on back in the dust and dirt: Don't honk, push!

I didn't do either, I smiled. For a long time.

What to say, what to say

The trouble with not doing a blog in a long time is what to say when you get back! Lot's of stuff has happened, but who want's the "What I did in July" essay!

Blah, broke my glasses yesterday. Snapped the right leg clean off. They stay on just fine with the left leg unless I lean forward or snap my real quick. Walking down the beach on a sunny day becomes somewhat dangerous for my eye wear. Have a new pair of glasses on order.

"Kids" movies are ruling the box office this summer. I've enjoyed "Lilo & Stitch" and "Spy Kids" more than the grow'd up films I've been too.

August is SFU reunion month for the Dragon. My first job out of school was at SFU like 15 years ago. With the exception of a friend who I game with I hadn't seen someone for the old crew for at least 4 years. This month I've spoken with 6 of 'em! Funny how stuff happens in clusters, sometimes.
