Happy Birthday Mom!

Bestest birthday wishes to my Mom, today: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!

She's really hard to buy a gift for. Except for gambling trips to Vegas she doesn't ever seem to want things. I'm sure the Dahli Lama would approve of this mostly non-material path but it makes it hard for me around Christmas and birthdays. I can't even let her win at Rumoli, by the end of the game she usually owns me.

Mom, I love you, please get a hobby. (Just kidding) Happy Birthday.

Defending the Realm

Ok, I'm alive!!! Didn't mean to disappoint by "going dark". I've been somewhere, in a manner of speaking. Picked up this new game called Dark Age of Camelot. Very cool. Easy to spend lots of time I might otherwise spending composing a blog entry.

My character's name is Galdery. Here's a very quick look at his world:

	Galdery and his trainer, Master Arenis. Galdery is a mercenary in Albion. He's currently in his 14th season.
	Galdery and his Weaponsmith Master, Master Hephas Elgen. Master Elgen is a real task master. Galdery has to run his tail off all over Camelot doing consignments so he can afford to improve his crafting skills.
	Galdery and Neldor. Neldor is a friend and comrad in arms in the realm of Albion. That's Camelot Castle in the background.
	Defenders of the Realm: Galdery and Neldor when you've pissed us off. This has been the last sight of bandits, bolderlings and other baddies.

Mine is already off to an interesting start. I forgot there would be mail delivery yesterday so I took a look today. There was my 1996 income tax refund!!! Given the mixed timing I'm not sure if this counts as a great close to 2001 or a great beginning to 2002. Either way I'm not complaining!

May the year 2002 bring you success and contentment!

Does this mean that "2001: A Space Odyssey" has to be reclassified from science fiction to alternative history?
